Congressional Fly-Ins
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, professionals are increasingly conducting business in virtual settings. This includes the Federal government. As Congress and the Administration continue to debate policy at hearings and mark-ups, draft and pass legislation, and issue executive orders and rulemakings, it is critical that stakeholders remain engaged in the process.
Van Scoyoc Associates (VSA) is well versed in planning, executing, and hosting virtual fly-ins of any size. Our professionals have a long history of working with Congressional offices, Congressional Committees, Federal Agencies and Administration officials. Our experience and professional relationships allow for the seamless execution of virtual advocacy. We are able to structure your fly-in in a variety of ways to best meet your needs.
While some aspects of virtual fly-ins create challenges, they also provide flexibility that in-person fly-ins do not. In addition to reduced costs associated with travel and hotel accommodations, virtual fly-ins allow participants to attend who otherwise would not travel, the ability to conduct the fly-in over the course of (portions of) four or five business days versus fully consuming two or three days, and the option to provide visual presentations (like facility tours and screensharing) to which in-person fly-ins are often not conducive.
