Samantha joined VSA as a Legislative Assistant in the Summer of 2022 after having interned at VSA in the Summer of 2021. Samantha earned her bachelor’s degree at Baylor University, majoring in International Relations with minors in French and Women and Gender Studies. Samantha has experience in government relations work as she interned for the government affairs firm, Fernandez Cervantes Government Affairs, in 2018.
Samantha Ford works on a range of policy issues on behalf of VSA’s clients with a particular focus on tax and education. She regularly conducts research, provides policy updates, develops materials, and drafts correspondence to help clients reach their objectives. Samantha also plays a key role in coordinating congressional meetings, assisting with fly-ins, and performing administrative duties in relation to advocacy efforts.
