WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Van Scoyoc Associates (VSA) announced that Jennifer LaTourette has been named President and Chief Operating Officer to assist with the firm’s continuing growth and expansion. Prior to this announcement, Jennifer served as a Vice President at VSA and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.
“For 30 years, VSA has provided best-in-class lobbying and advocacy services to our clients. As we prepare for the next 30 years, I am excited to announce that Jennifer LaTourette has been named President and Chief Operating Officer of VSA,” said H. Stewart “Stu” Van Scoyoc, who will remain the CEO of Van Scoyoc Associates. “For many years I have relied on Jennifer’s sound advice and counsel, and I’m thrilled to recognize her contributions and have Jennifer join me in leading VSA’s growth in the future.”
In her new role, Jennifer will provide firmwide leadership, team management, and vision as she oversees the implementation of VSA’s forward-focused strategies. She will also continue her work as a lobbyist on behalf of the many clients who have placed their trust in her.
Jennifer spent more than a decade at VSA before leaving in 2012 to establish McDonald Hopkins Government Strategies with her late husband, former Congressman Steve LaTourette (R-OH). Jennifer returned to VSA in 2017 and has built a highly successful lobbying practice at the firm, working on a wide variety of public policy issues for a diverse group of clients. Before becoming a lobbyist, Jennifer spent nearly a decade on Capitol Hill working for both Republican and Democratic Members of the House and Senate.
“I’m honored by the opportunity to take this leadership role at VSA. I care deeply about this firm and our clients, and am dedicated to ensuring our continued success,” LaTourette said. “VSA has enjoyed significant growth over the last two years, and I look forward to working with my colleagues to accelerate that growth path while continuing to deliver the high-quality experience and results our clients have come to expect.”
In addition to her work as a lobbyist, Jennifer has served as a mentor to many of her colleagues at VSA. Most recently, as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, Jennifer played a critical role in guiding VSA and our clients through the pandemic, helping deliver two years of growth during otherwise difficult circumstances.
Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College and her Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center. She has served on numerous boards including the U.S. Capitol Historical Society, the N Street Village Gala, and for an organization of moderate Members of Congress.
