Van Scoyoc Associates (VSA) became the first office tenant at The Wharf today, moving into its new headquarters at 800 Maine Avenue. Located along the historic Washington Channel, 800 Maine Avenue is close to Capitol Hill and many Federal Agency buildings, and offers our clients access to numerous hotels, new restaurants, and entertainment options.

“When I first saw Monty Hoffman’s vision for The Wharf, I knew it was going to be something special, and I knew that I wanted VSA to be part of it,” H. Stewart “Stu” Van Scoyoc, President and CEO, said. “VSA has been in Washington for thirty years – growing to be one of the largest lobbying firms in town – and we are proud to be on the front end of this revitalization effort.”

The Wharf (www.wharfdc.com) is a $2 billion multi-use redevelopment of Washington’s Southwest Waterfront delivering residential, office, hotel, retail and cultural space. With a mile-long waterfront promenade, the Wharf’s public space includes multiple parks, four piers, and will offer water taxi service to other DC, Maryland, and Virginia waterfront locations.

“While our office address has changed, the service and amenities clients have come to expect from us will not change,” Van Scoyoc said. “Our new office has multiple conference rooms and guest offices and includes the most up-to-date technology available including video-teleconferencing and Mersive’s display technology.”

VSA’s office space was designed by HOK, a global design, architecture, engineering, and planning firm. Corbett Construction of Fairfax, Virginia served as the general contractor and lead construction firm.

Much like I tell our team we have to constantly be exceeding expectations, the Hoffman-Madison Waterfront team has done that with The Wharf.”
